ZATCA e-invoicing: a simple checklist for retailers

Rwdacc Team··5 min read

Phase 2 of ZATCA e-invoicing (Fatoora) requires invoices to be generated, signed and reported in a specific format. Here is the short version.

The essentials

  • Issue invoices in the required XML/PDF-A3 format
  • Embed a ZATCA-compliant QR code (TLV, base64)
  • Include the seller VAT number, timestamp and totals
  • Integrate with the ZATCA platform for clearance/reporting

Make it automatic

The right system does this in the background. Every sale produces a compliant invoice with the QR code already on the receipt — your cashier doesn't change a thing.

Compliance shouldn't slow you down. When it's built in, it simply happens.
